Philanthropy
About our Philanthropy
UF VSO holds fundraisers every year to raise money for our philanthropy determined annually by the Union of North American Vietnamese Student Associations (UNAVSA). Through the Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP), many Vietnamese Student Associations work collectively to raise money for a singular cause. CPP is an initiative for Vietnamese students and community organizations to collaborate to work towards a common cause.
From jar wars, our pho fundraiser, and more, our fundraising directors plan and execute various fundraisers throughout the year in order to raise money for our philanthropy.
Our CPP beneficiary for the 2024-2025 school year is Vietnam Health Clinic! Vietnam Health Clinic (VHC) was founded in 2008 and is modeled after the Global Medical Brigades mobile clinics. VHC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding healthcare access and services to under-resourced populations while nurturing leadership and professional development among our student member volunteers. VHC’s largest efforts are the Mobile Health Clinics. We host our clinics in rural areas of Vietnam, providing free health care services which include: primary medical care, dental care, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, and public health
education.
